Mount Pleasant East takes up a large chunk of midtown Toronto, bounded roughly by Blythwood Road to the north, Moore Avenue to the south, Yonge Street and Mount Pleasant Road to the west and Bayview Avenue to the east.
The southern portion of the neighbourhood is taken up by historic Mount Pleasant Cemetery, a large green space with winding trails which is extremely popular among walkers and cyclists. Sherwood Park provides additional green space in the northern portion of the community.
Mount Pleasant East is home to Maurice Cody Junior Public School and Northern Secondary School to serve students in this mostly quiet, low-rise residential neighbourhood.
Transit options include St. Clair, Davisville and Eglinton subway stops just outside its boundaries, plus bus routes along Eglinton Avenue, Mount Pleasant Road and Bayview Avenue. The Eglinton bus will eventually be replaced by the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, which runs the length of Eglinton Avenue from Weston Road in the west to Kennedy Road in Scarborough in the east.
Shops, restaurants, and grocery stores are walkable for convenient shopping and dining. It is a great neighbourhood for discovering the outdoors, while remaining a quick commute from downtown. There are many stores on Bayview, and a variety of popular local restaurants.

Mount Pleasant East real estate is sought after by people age 25-64, and families with children. There is a comparatively high population of children under the age of four, and children ages 5-14.
